I would be remiss if I did not mention the television show Pushing Daisies on this blog, featuring “an eccentric protagonist who’s a pie maker by day and a P.I. by night”.
I admit I have yet to watch it (I’m not, in fact, certain it has begun yet). But the premise just sound, well, fun!
He makes his living baking pies for his restaurant, The Pie Hole, which is shaped like a gigantic two-crust dessert. And the reason his pies are so extraordinary is because he can touch fruit that’s gone bad and return it to peak ripeness. Ned can bring any dead thing back to life with a touch.
Does anyone who watches TV for more than the morning traffic report know anything more about the show, and/or might you be able to provide a review? Pie-enquiring minds want to know!
That’s amazing and hilarious! I know nothing about it, but it sounds worth looking into, especially if there’s some good pie action involved!
